Born in the Bronx,NY.I'm an Aries, who likes long walks
on the beach, eating steak, and anything that has to do with animals. I
was born with a comedic personality. I've been doing stand up comedy for
a few years, and would like to pursue it as a career. I like to make
people smile and turn a bad day into a good one. I try to look on the
bright side of things. If I can describe my comedy,it would have to
say,I'm sarcastic, perverted, and straight forward. Hope to make you laugh
soon.

MATT LIPTON

MATTL.jpg

Hailing from the "Boondock Borough" of Staten Island, Matt Lipton's approach to stand-up is plain and simple. He doesn't do crowd work. He doesn't pick on people in the audience. He doesn't single anyone out to get a laugh. He just tells jokes.

With a casual confidence gained from working some of the toughest rooms in NYC, even when his jokes fail – it's funny. His laidback and quiet demeanor juxtaposes an erratic excitement for joke telling; a personality that makes well-crafted jokes that much more enjoyable.
Along with fellow sketchmates Steve Gantman, Chris Gentile and John Janicki Jr., comprise the YouTube-based sketch troupe Band of Hooligans.

Hitting the YouTube Underground a little over a year ago, the troupe is a regular feature on the hit online comedy emporium Whip It Out Comedy.

A regular preformer at Laugh Lounge, you can catch him running with boys of FunnyFellas.com

He performed in a few shows in Austin and Houston before moving overseas. Matt now resides in New York and has been performing at clubs, bars and restaurants all around the city for more than a year. Matt is known for shocking, self deprecating style of humor. He has been honing his comedic skills by taking stand-up comedy courses through Caroline's on Broadway. Matt has recently begun to make his mark on the New York comedy scene by performing in Caroline's 2008 March Comedy Madness and winning the Fresh Faces of Comedy Show at the Laugh Lounge in February of 2008.
